Skiing fun right up to your front door!
The region around the Hotel Schartner is home to numerous ski resorts, including the family-friendly area of Radstadt-Altenmarkt (3km), Flachau (4km) and Zauchensee-Flachauwinkl (10km). In fact, the free ski bus service, which stops outside the front of the hotel, will get you to the lifts in under five minutes – less time than you need to put on your ski boots!
NEW: Therme Amadé Aqua Park
Therme Amadé Aqua Park, a water-based, sauna and leisure centre for all the family, opened in Altenmarkt-Zauchensee in October 2010.
A fantastic choice of fun and relaxation options will be available at this unique aqua park. Covering nearly 100,000 sq ft, the new aqua park will offer an appealing and varied bathing environment with 11 different pools covering a total area of almost 4,500 sq ft. There are seven thermal pools in total, with another four in the wellness and sauna area. The outdoor salt water pools will be heated to 32°C all year round, and are linked by tunnel. Enjoy the thrills and spills of the new aqua loop slide with a rocket start and a 26-ft free fall section! Or, experience the 400-ft water slide which is like nothing you've ever tried before!
